The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ekiti State has said Governor Ayodele Fayose is free to leave the party.The PDP faction believed to be loyal to the National Chairman, Senator Ali Modu Sheriff, said Fayose will not even be missed.The Governor has repeatedly threatened to leave the party if the Supreme Court judgement on the party's leadership tussle favours Sheriff.In a statement issued to newsmen in Ado-Ekiti on Thursday, May 18, the faction said Fayose is worried because he has lost his grip over the party in the state.Olasunkanmi Ogunbiyi, the party's Deputy Chairman in the state; and secretary, Ilesanmi Obe signed the statement.The faction said "the exit of Fayose from PDP will not adversely affect the fortunes of the party."All the ward, local government and state executives as well as the state's leadership caucus remain intact.Visit Pulse.ng for more
