A man in Ikorodu Lagos, drives a 3-inch nail into the head of his 8-yrs old nephew, for allegedly stealing N500

An 8 yrs old boy in Ikorodu Lagos, is currently fighting for his life after his uncle drove a 3-inch nail into his head for allegedly stealing N500".  Equivalent of $1.59c

The child involved in this incident is known as Friday Paul. Friday lost his parents two years ago and had to live with his uncle Paul and his family in a room apartment in Ikorodu area of Lagos State. 

Over the weekend, the 8-year-old was accused by Mr. Paul, of stealing his money. But the little boy denied the accusation. In the process of forcing the little boy to admit to the theft, the uncle began beating and torturing him. 

At a point, the wicked man drove a nail into the boy's head, causing so much pain to the boy. As a result, Friday "cried out for help, attracting neighbours who then rushed to the scene".

When Mr. Paul realized what he had done, "he fled the scene, leaving the boy to sympathizers who then rushed him to the hospital. Some of their of neighbours apprehended the suspect, while trying to lynch him, the Police arrived and rescued him. 

<div dir="ltr" style="background-color: white; font-family: Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif; font-size: 13px;"> According to the Vanguard report, "the injured boy was rejected at the Ikorodu General Hospital where he was first taken to due to lack of funds. He was later taken to The Saviour the Rock Hospital where doctors are battling to save his life." The nail was successfully removed but further surgery is still required.

A neighbor of the victim told Vanguard that the little boy dropped out of school after the death of his parents. The wicked uncle did not make any effort to enroll him back to any school, instead, he maltreats him at any little chance he gets.

Presently, Paul is held in police custody.......

It baffles me how wicked the hearts of many have become these days. What in the world was Mr Paul thinking when he drove a 3-inch nail into the head of this little boy. Did it not occur to him that even if the boy recovers from his broad daylight witchcraft, that he may sustain some brain damage that may not be corrected for the rest of his life? 

With the actions of this wicked uncle, I think that there is need to investigate what really happened to Friday's parents.

About the rejection by the Ikorodu General Hospital......please when would Nigerian Politician stop siphoning public funds and use the money for things like subsiding hospital bills for children and the less privileged. Numerous victims have lost their lives due to inability to pay for hospital bills, but our politician and their families, visit the best hospitals in the world for treatments. God help us!

 I pray that the little boy would fully recover. And that somebody would adopt him and show him some love.
