In case you missed it--Olayode Juliana aka 'Toyo baby' opens up about her departure from Jenifa Diaries'
In April 2017, news broke on the social media that Olayode Juliana, popularly known as 'Toyo Baby' in the TV comic series, Jenifa's Diaries, has been cut from production.
Initially, Miz Juliana denied the report giving the impression that all was well. But today the actress decided to open up about their misunderstanding.
In a lengthy post published on her website a few hours ago, Toyo came clean about the relationship she had with her then boss, Funke Akindele-Bello
Toyo started by acknowlegding and thanking Funke for coaching her and helping her become a better actress today. She also mentioned that Funke helped pay for mother's surgery expenses when she couldn't afford it.
Toyo went on to write that during her time in Jenifa's diary, she was not just one of tthe actresses on set but also a dear friend to Funke, she claimed that she was Funke's unofficial; Personal Assistant, Makeup artist, Caterer, Costumier, assitant Driver, Cleaner, Washerwoman, Prayer partner and Script adviser, to mention but a few. But what Toyo did not tell us was what actually made their relationship go sour.. Juliana being an excellent actress kept each and every one of us in suspense......... thank U Toyo

It such a pity that a relationship that started so well ended in a very bad way.
The relationship betweeenn Toyo and Funke is a typical Nigerian employer -employee relationship. It's time our naija employers know where to draw the line between emplyee and house made. Work relationship should begin and end in the work place. Most employers treat their employees as if they are their slaves and use them for all kind of errnads. You can imagine doing your employers laundryor cooking for her, simply because she is paying you. damn.........When you are working for such employers they would always make you feel as if they have paid for your entire life and that you owe it all to them.

this is a huge lesson for all our nigerian employers as well as the employees. Lets not forget to make use of the word boundries and personal space. Well, am wishing Toyo and funke all the best and hope that they repaiir their relationship and bring the original Toyo back to the comic series. I stopped watching Jenifa's diary because Juliana left the show. I Love her so much and feel that she auguments Funke best in that show.
Funke Please what ever you do, bring Original Toyo back to the show.
