Notoriuos kidnapper, 'Evans may get the death penalty': Find out why

The recent arrest of kidnap kingpin, Evans still remains one of the most talked about news in 2017. Since his arrest, many Nigerians have poured out their utmost wish to have the kidnapper locked away for life while some people thought that his sin is not worse than that of the Nigerian politicians, as a result he should be given a pat on the back and discharged from jail.

A law signed by the governor of Lagos state in January 2017 holds what would likely be the verdict to be handed out to Evans and his gang."Governor  Akinwunmi Ambode signed into law, Life Imprisonment or death penalty for the offence of Kidnap and forceful extortion in Lagos State".

So with the on-going investigation into the activities of the suspect and his team, "if he's eventually convicted, the law provides for death penalty for kidnappers whose victims die in their custody and life imprisonment for the act of kidnapping."

According to Ambode when he signed the law on January 5, 2017,

“.....This law imposes a penalty of life imprisonment for kidnapping for ransom. The law stipulates that, where a victim dies in the course of kidnapping, the suspect is liable on conviction to death. Security is of utmost importance to our administration, and we are confident that this law will serve as a deterrent to anybody, who may desire to engage in this wicked act within the boundaries of Lagos State. Our justice system will be required to execute this law in absolute and make sure that any criminal caught faces the full wrath of the law,".--LIB  

My Take:
Going by the report on this suspect, at least 4 victims including 2 of his men died during the attempted kidnap of the young Shall grow big boss.  I believe that if thorough investigation is conducted that Evans and his men will be put away from the streets of Lagos and Nigeria as a whole.

I only feel for his poor wife and children. Their case is a typical example of what the bible said in the book of Jeremiah 31: 29..... it says, "the parents have eaten sour grapes, and the children's teeth are set on edge.". So sad....
