President Buhari Addresses Nigerians in Hausa during the Eid-el Fitr celebration: Nigerians are outraged...

Nigerians are outraged after the release of an audio message from the Buhari by the office of the President, on Sunday.In a bid to prove that President Muhammadu Buhari can still speak,  the office of the presidency released an audio message in Hausa by the president, for the celebration of the Eld-el Fitr.

In the aforementioned recording that was broadcasted on Sunday by numerous radio stations including BBC, the President was heard addressing Nigerians in Hausa.

Mr. President thanked Nigerians for their consistent prayers for his well-being.

He also urged all citizens, irrespective of their socio-political affiliations, to always avoid hate speech and divisive tendencies capable of causing disaffection among Nigerians.

Before ending his one minute two seconds message, Mr. Buhari prayed for a good harvest as farmers embarked on agricultural activities. 

After the release of the message, many Nigerians especially those who not speak or understand Hausa language were pissed off with the President.

The message got many Nigerians upset, as a result some of them took to the social media to blast the ailing head of states.

My Take:

This is such a disappointment. In a time like this, when Nigerian needs a sense of belonging as well as inclusive governance more than ever,  the president choose to speak a particular language without interpretation during such a national celebration. This is so pathetic

Guys remember that this is the same person, that urged Nigerians to avoid divisive statements but he chose to address a nation that has more than 50 languages in Hausa. Is he trying to say that the speech he just gave is useless? or are  Hausa's the only Muslims in Nigeria or is he just informing us that he favors his tribe over others. This has just shown where his heart is. it shows us that he is the president of the Hausa's alone.  so any other tribe can go to hell. kosi wahalah, No problem, soldier come soldier go!!
