My Take:
This quite an unfortunate accident.
The Nigerian Government needs to put a policy in place to test the durability of building materials as well as test each building before approving it for people to occupy.
Secondly, the contractor that built that house has to be held accountable. Most times contractors try to maximize profit, as a result, they use fake and substandard materials in building houses. Until Nigeria begins to hold these building contractors and manufacturers of building materials accountable, the rate at which incidents like this one occurs will never go down.
May the souls of the victim rest in peace.
