Kogi Assembly In Chaos As Speaker, Journalists Narrowly Escape Death

"The Kogi State House of Assembly was on Tuesday invaded by hoodlums, who disrupted its plenary sitting and beat up members".--Pulse.ng

The House was in section on Tuesday when the attack started, according to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN). As they gained entrance into the House of Assembly, the suspects "promptly climbed the gallery and chased out everybody chanting “What kind of rubbish sitting is this? All of you should vacate this chamber or we kill you".--Sahara Reporters

It was reported that Speaker of the House, Alhaji Umar Imam, barely escaped being attacked by the hoodlums.
Another lucky escapee was Oluwatoyin Lawal (APC-Yagba West) who "narrowly escaped being hit by one of the big chairs hauled from the gallery into the chamber while some journalists covering the sitting were also attacked and beaten as they scampered for safety".

Igalamela-Odolu state constituency representative, Friday Sani, was however not so lucky. He was beaten black and blue by the inturders who also inflicted serious injuries on him.

Vehicles belonging to the lawmakers were vandalised during the incident. The suspects locked the gate of the complex against the speaker and which gave them the ability to stone the politicians convoy with stones and other objects.--Pulse Nigeria

My Take:
Pikin wey sey him mama no go sleep, him too no go sleep. Nigerian politicians have pushed Nigerians way too far. A lot of people are feeling boxed to the corner. If our politicians do not end their corrupt, selfish and wicked acts, the day of reckonning awaits them, either here on earth or in the presence of Jehovah.
